HM King receives Sunni, Jaafari councils' delegation

Manama, Aug 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the Safriya Palace received Chairman of the Sunni Waqf (Endowment) Council, Dr. Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajiri, and Chairman of the Jaafari Waqf (Endowment) Council, Sheikh Muhsin Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, accompanied by members of the two councils. HM the King lauded the two councils’ keenness to follow up the affairs of places of worship and the preparation of imams and orators to disseminate the culture of tolerance, friendship, values of unity and national belonging, in addition to the development of the endowment for its role in promoting the social solidarity. HM the King paid tribute to the Bahraini people’s good morals and mutual respect that bolster values of the Bahraini society. HM the King hailed the Saudi efforts, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to assist the pilgrims in performing Hajj rituals. HM the King said Bahrain has always been a model to follow in tolerance and coexistence, praying to Almighty God to maintain its stability and unity. The Sunni and Jaafari heads expressed appreciation of HM the King’s efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, hailing his constant support for charitable and humanitarian works. They wished HM the King good health and happiness to continue the march of development and prosperity in the interest of the homeland and its people.
