Counterfeit goods seized from Sampeng market

BANGKOK, Aug 22 (TNA) – The police seized over 2,000 counterfeit items, worth five million baht in a raid at the Sam Peng market in Bangkok yesterday. Deputy Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpan told a press conference about the operation to crack down on counterfeit goods at Sampeng area following complaints. During the raid at ten locations, the police seized over 2,000 fake brand-name items, including caps, hats, rucksacks, Bluetooth speakers, worth more than five million baht. Eight suspects - six Thais and two foreigners were arrested. (TNA)
