King congratulated on sports achievements

Manama, Sep.3 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf on the honourable results achieved by the Bahrain team which bagged 26 medals in the 18th Asia Games in Indonesia. He paid tribute to HM the King hailing the royal care and support to sports and youth in Bahrain which yielded landmark achievements and consolidate Bahrain’s sports standing on the GCC, continental, Arab and Asian levels.  The minister also commended the role of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa who affirmed that the Bahraini team would compete for gold in 2018 and provide all necessary technical and administrative support.
