Yonhap signs deal with Turkey's official Anadolu news agency

TEHRAN, Sep. 3 (Yonhap) -- Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's key news wire service, on Monday signed a deal to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Turkey's official Anadolu news agency. The deal called for the two news agencies to extend their exchanges to photos with English captions and videos beyond English-language news. The deal was signed between Kim Jin-hyung, Yonhap's managing director in charge of international affairs and business, and Metin Mutanoglu, Anadolu Agency's deputy director-general, during a meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies at a hotel in Tehran. "I am pleased that we can cooperate with Turkey's largest news agency Anadolu, and I hope that exchanges between Yonhap News Agency and Anadolu Agency will become a bridge that will promote friendship between the two countries," Kim said. Mutanoglu said he hopes to further strengthen cooperation with Yonhap News Agency. (END)
