Kyrgyzstan, Hungary strengthen relations by signing two new documents

Cholpon-Ata, Sept. 4, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Cholpon-Ata town of Issyk-Kul oblas,. During the bilateral dialogue, the sides discussed opportunities for expanding partnership relations, developing political dialogue and interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Following the talks that took place today, on September 4, the President and Prime Minister signed a joint statement, as well as a memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism. Diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were established on April 16, 1992. Over the past years, the Hungarian government has announced a "policy of openness to the East", which aims to strengthen relations with Russia and China, as well as with the countries of Central Asia.
