Thai students win four medals at IOI 2018
BANGKOK, Sept 8 (TNA) -- Thai students have won a silver and three bronzes from the 30th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2018) held in Tsukuba, Ibaraki prefecture of Japan, said Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology.
The competition was held between September 1- 8.
The Thai student winners were from three schools in the kingdom. Mr Sanchayaphol Liewkasemsant from Kamnoetvidya Science Academy of Rayong won silver medal.
The bronze medalists are Mr Thanadol Chomphuchan from Bunyawat Witthayalai School of Lampang, Mr Jirayu Burapacheep from Bangkok Christian College of Bangkok and Mr Milin Krotnongbua from Kamnoetvidya Science Academy of Rayong.
A total of 335 students from 87 countries had participated in the annual competition.
The Thai winners are scheduled to arrive home Saturday evening.
Next year competition will be held in Azerbaijan. (TNA)
