Thai industries are mainly of the 2.0 era

BANGKOK, Sept 19 (TNA) – The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and the Department of Industrial Promotion surveyed 1,500 operators in manufacturing, trade and service sectors and found that most of them are mainly of the Industry 2.0 era. FTI vice chairman Katiya Greigarn said the survey in August showed that the capabilities of 61% of the questioned operators represented mainly the Industry 2.0. Seventy percent of the respondents were small and medium-sized enterprises and their capabilities were at the Industry 2.0 level. Besides, the operators in the nine industries that the government is promoting for the future of the country also showed Industry 2.0 capabilities. Mr Katiya said FTI and the Department of Industrial Promotion conducted the survey as a pilot one and hoped that other organizations would later conduct such surveys perfectly and annually so that the government could formulate effective policies to support the industrial development of the country.
