PM gives moral support to Asian Para Games athletes

BANGKOK, Sept 24 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-Ocha received Thai athletes competing at the 3rd Asian Para Games in Indonesia and wished them well in the coming games. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports today led the Thai contingent to meet with Gen Prayut at the Government House. Gen Prayut wished all the athletes, their coaches and officials who will be attending the games in Indonesia a safe journey and hoped that they will carry back the highest honour for the country. In the previous games four years ago, said Gen Prayut, Thailand had ranked 6th from 43 participating nations and he hoped that this year's the team will be able to raise Thailand's ranking even higher. The Prime Minster, however, reminded the athletes that the highest priority must be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork and fostering good relations with their fellow competitors. (TNA)
