National unity urged to thwart subversive acts

Manama, Sept. 24(BNA): The Al-Ajam Grand Ma’atam strongly condemned the exploitation of Ashoora by a gang of terrorists to perpetrate despicable and defamatory acts. It expressed full support to the measures which were taken to protect national security, as e Bahrain confronts intellectual and ideological terrorism resulting from the blatant and disapproved foreign interference in the Kingdom’s internal affairs. In a statement issued today, the Al-Ajam Grand Ma’atam urged national unity to thwart any attempts to politicise religious rituals and spark chaos and incitement. It stressed the need to stand united with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, reiterating support to the measures undertaken by the Government to stave off all attempts to spread terrorism and extremist ideologies in the country.
