HRH the Crown Prince receives UK Defence Senior Advisor on the Middle East at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama, Sept. 25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer, the United Kingdom’s Defence Senior Advisor on the Middle East, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasised the long-standing ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, noting existing strategic bilateral cooperation. HRH the Crown Prince stressed Bahrain and the United Kingdom’s joint commitment to regional security, stability and prosperity, and highlighted both countries efforts towards achieving these goals. His Royal Highness also noted the need for the international community to continue to coordinate effectively to counter intolerance and extremism. HRH the Crown Prince and Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer also discussed other issues related to shared strategic goals and interests. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, also attended the meeting.
