BANGKOK, Sept 27 (TNA) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) on Thursday started collecting hourly vehicle parking fees on 66 city roads, mostly in Bangkok’s inner areas. The announcement, published in the Royal Gazette yesterday came into effect today. The parking fee started from five baht for motorcycles and 10 baht for the next hour. The sedan cars are charged 10 baht for the first hour and 20 baht for an additional hour. The parking fee for six-wheeled vehicles starts at 20 baht. Extra times will be charged for the one-hour fee. Motorists, who today parked their vehicles on Nakhon Sawan Road and Phra Sumen Road, where the parking fee is imposed said the fee collection is not new and they are willing to pay the fee to the city hall.
