Int'l visitors welcome to J Food Festival @ MBK

BANGKOK, September 27 (TNA) - People from all walks of life, including foreign visitors, are all welcome to a grand vegetarian food fair in Bangkok, dubbed the "J Food Festival @ MBK", which will be organized during next month's vegetarian festival in the country. Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat presided over a news conference in the capital on September 26 to announce that the "J Food Festival @ MBK" will be held at the MBK Avenue of the MBK Center shopping mall during October 8-17, when a large number of people in Thailand observe the annual vegetarian festival. The minister told the news conference that the upcoming 10-day "J Food Festival @ MBK", themed C-4:care/clean/clear/continue, will be a good opportunity for people in Thailand to suspend consuming meat, which promotes the domestic health food and tourism sectors. Besides, the 10-day grand vegetarian food fair, organized in the heart of the capital and expected to attract at least 100,000 international visitors, will sustain the annually-traditional vegetarian festival in the country, which is believed to bring about people's longevity and merits. "The J Food Festival @ MBK, to be held in central Bangkok where both the Thai people and a number of international visitors conjoin, is also expected to partly promote the domestic tourism", said the minister. According to the minister, next month's J Food Festival @ MBK will be divided into five zones, including those of vegetarian food, organic food, creative menu, vegetarian food contest and international vegetarian food dishes. The minister revealed that a highlight of the upcoming grand food fair will be a giant pan of the "international vegetarian cuisine of fortune fried noodle", specially cooked by the chef from the nearby Pathumwan Princess Hotel, which will be served to 1,000 international visitors, free of charges.
