Massive turnout to review voters lists praised

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA): The Higher Committee to oversee integrity of the elections praised the massive turnout of voters over the past days during the display period of the voters lists to review the lists through the supervisory committees, the website www.vote.bh or the Elections Call Centre. The committee described that as a reflection of the presence of this national entitlement as well as electoral and legal awareness to meet the legal requirements throughout the whole electoral process. The committee reiterated call on all citizens to ascertain of the existence of their names on the voters lists during the remaining legal display period until October 3. It also underlined the voter's role in overseeing the lists and reviewing the data included in them according the electoral constituency. The Higher Committee to oversee integrity of the elections hailed the role of the national press in backing the democratic march by providing a specialised media platform to cover the elections and promote the electoral culture.
