FDPM Fellowship role in nation progress praised

Manama, Oct. 2 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has praised the programmes and initiatives of the First Deputy Prime Minister to build leadership skills among young Bahrainis from all walks of life to take key positions in public and private sectors, and thus effectively contribute to the Kingdom’s on-going development under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Receiving the fellows of the fourth First Deputy Prime Minister’s Fellowship (FDPM Fellowship), Al Romaihi highlighted the significance of the programme as an outstanding initiative by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to support and empower young Bahrainis and to enhance their skills, which will reflect positively on performances in line with the Economic Vision 2030 and the Government Action Plan.
The minister reviewed the challenges and opportunities across the local media and stressed young Bahraini men and women, with their ambitions and creativity, have a crucial role in developing the sector and in using it to defend the nation and highlight its local, regional and international achievements.
Al Romaihi told the fellows that young men and women should seize the opportunities provided by the government to develop their knowledge and leadership and creative skills, prove their capability of assuming responsibilities, participating positively in the decision-making process and boosting economic and social progress within the partnership between the public and private sectors.
The minister said that the FDPM Fellowship has made significant progress and remarkable success over four years in qualifying young and promising national talents through their assignment to the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister, integrating them into intensive training programnes on research, analysis and leadership approaches, and imparting the necessary skills and expertise to develop the governmental sector according to advanced scientific processes and modern administrative procedures.
The fellows expressed their gratitude to Al Romaihi for his support and encouragement and their appreciation for the opportunity to gain insights into the operations and work processes within the various departments of the ministry.
