Bahrain-UAE ties praised

Manama, Oct. 9 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan today received UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The minister praised the distinguished brotherly ties nurtured by the two countries’ leaderships and the deep-rooted bonds between the two peoples, aspiring to pushing these ties to further boost the joint work and advance the ongoing cooperation to vaster vistas, especially in the labour fields and social protection to achieve the sustainable development goals in addition to coordination during Gulf, Arab and international conferences and functions. The UAE ambassador expressed his delight for the meeting that discussed fruitful topics, assuring that he will continue the efforts to translate the aspirations of both leaderships to develop the existing relations to achieve the aspired integration, and wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity. Ambassador Shaikh Sultan commended Bahrain’s regional and international status in terms of its provision of social welfare to the various community segments as well as boosting the sound work environment and ensuring the rights of workers thanks to its advanced national legislations that are compatible with international labour standards.
