HRH Premier visits Gravity Indoor Skydiving

Manama, Oct. 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Gravity Indoor Skydiving, in Zallaq, and listened to a briefing by the committee Head of the 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving 2018 Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa on the ongoing preparations for the world championship which is set to be held from October 25 to 28. Touring the facility, HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that expanding the kingdom's sport infrastructure has boosted Bahrain's capability of hosting international championships and promoted tourism by turning Bahrain into a favourite destination for many regional and international sport federations. He added that Bahrain's hosting of the 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving 2018 reflects confidence in the kingdom's capabilities to host major international sporting events. He also lauded the efforts of the officials at Gravity Indoor Skydiving in promoting Bahrain's presence in sport gatherings by holding regional and international championships and becoming the first air tunnel in Asia and the Middle East that hosts the World Cup of Indoor Skydiving. HRH the Premier praised the great preparations to host the sporting event and ensure its success, thanking the organising committees and the officials in charge for their keenness to take into consideration all details guaranteeing success of the championship. He underlined the government's keenness on supporting the sport sector and boosting investment in it given its importance as a key economic tributary in invigorating the national economy and tourism. HRH the Prime Minister praised Bahraini competencies and their resolve to uphold the kingdom's image in various gatherings. Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to HRH the Premier for the inspection visit to get updated on the ongoing preparations for the 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving 2018 which reflects keenness on maintaining Bahrain's pioneering status mainly in the sport sector.
