HRH Crown Prince arrives in Saudi Arabia for the Future Investment Initiative (FII)

Manama, Oct. 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. HRH the Crown Prince is in Riyadh to attend the Future Investment Initiative (FII) following an official invitation from HRH Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
The 2018 FII is being held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and is chaired by the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
HRH the Crown Prince was welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials.
In a statement, HRH the Crown Prince said he was pleased to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the Future Investment Initiative and to meet with the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that FII represents a unique platform to discuss how the region’s economic transformation can be accelerated through inter-regional collaboration, and said he looked forward to discussing a range of shared priorities with Bahrain’s partners over the course of the conference.
On behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain, HRH the Crown Prince conveyed HM King Hamad’s best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
HRH the Crown Prince noted that from culture to trade, security cooperation and the wider economy, the bilateral relationship is longstanding, diverse, and stronger now than ever before.
HRH the Crown Prince affirmed that Bahrain-Saudi relations represent the benchmark for how partnerships can drive innovation and shared growth, and Bahrain is committed to exploring new ways to build on that partnership for years to come.
HRH the Crown Prince concluded by wishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people further progress and prosperity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HRH the Crown Prince was accompanied by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, senior government officials and representatives from the private sector.
