Manama, Oct. 24 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW) hosted the third batch of intermediate school teachers to a workshop themed Awareness of the Inclusion of Women Needs in National Development and Equal Opportunities Units (EOUs) in Educational Establishments in association with the Ministry of Education (2018-2019). The workshop was held in the Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology in Bahrain Training Institute (BTI). The two-day workshop highlighted the application of the Special Awareness Kit and familiarized the participants with the Supreme Council of Women, the National Model for Inclusion of Woman, and the National Plan for Bahraini Woman’s Revitalisation. Assistant Undersecretary for General and Technical Education, Lateefa Al Bunooza also Head of EOU at the Educational Ministry, and Nujood Yousef Al Dossary the Director of Intermediate Education Directorate at the Minister also attended the workshop aimed to boost awareness about the inclusion of woman needs and the principle of equal opportunities. The workshop highlighted the awareness kit’s content, aspects of the National Plan for Revitalisation of Bahraini Woman 2013-2022, family stability, equal opportunities, lifelong learning, qualify living, and expertise. Some of the schools that applied the school kit last year presented their experience in this field. More than 23 public and private schools have implemented the awareness kit so far, and the assessment results indicate high level of student awareness about the concepts of equal opportunities and the role of woman in the society.
