HE the Minister of Transportation attends the Future Investment Initiative (FII)

Riyadh, Oct. 24 (BNA): His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed attended the 2018 Future Investment Initiative (FII) as part of Bahrain’s delegation led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister.
FII is being held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and is chaired by the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Minister emphasised the importance of continuing to explore new opportunities that will contribute to the region’s sustainable growth.
HE the Minister stressed that the strong bond between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is anchored in shared values and diverse, longstanding ties across various sectors. HE the Minister further noted that the bilateral relationship has grown from strength to strength under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HE the Minister emphasised that Bahrain’s strategic location at the heart of the Arabian Gulf, combined with significant advances in the Kingdom’s logistics sector, benefit not only the Kingdom but the region as a whole.
HE the Minister stressed that Bahrain represents a primary gateway to the Arabian Gulf due to its efficient and competitive transport network, which includes the King Fahad Causeway link to Saudi Arabia, the planned new King Hamad Causeway that will feature a new railway link to Saudi Arabia, the Khalifa bin Salman Port and Logistics Zone, and Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air, which features more regional flights than any other airline.
HE the Minister concluded by praising the strong ties between the Kingdom Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and congratulated Saudi Arabia on hosting another successful FII.
