Speaker receives SCE's vice-president

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, received here today the President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), and Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa. The speaker lauded the efforts being exerted by the SCE to preserve the national and regional environment, hailing Bahrain’s progress in the environment field. Al-Mulla pointed out that the Constitution and the National Action Charter guaranteed the protection of the environment and achievement of balance between the requirements of development and social and economic aspects, stressing the Representatives Council’s support for the efforts being exerted to develop programmes aimed at protecting the environment and its resources. HH Shaikh Faisal expressed thanks and appreciation to the speaker for the meeting, noting that he looks forward to more cooperation between the two sides for the best interests of the nation and the citizens.
