Foreign Minister receives Director of Protocol and Conventions and Director of Information System

Manama, (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received at his office in the Ministry’s General Court, the Director of Protocol and Conventions, Ambassador Hasan Riyadh Al-Zayani, and the Director of Information System, Ambassador Ali Jassim Al-Aradi. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride in the Ministry's win of the Government Best Practices Award at the Government Forum 2018 for the Ministry’s Diplomatic eServices programme. He said that this new achievement reflects the capabilities and determination of the employees of the Ministry, praising the efforts of the programme’s makers. The programme is considered as an example of using modern technology to enhance the performance of the Ministry and enable it to carry out all its duties. For their part, Ambassador Al-Zayani and Ambassador Al-Aradi expressed thanks to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for honouring them on the occasion, which highlights his policy of developing the work system, facilitating the completion of transactions and simplifying all procedures. They stressed that the achievement is a result of the Minster’s continuous support for the Ministry to provide services of the highest quality. The Diplomatic eServices Programme is a unified online system for diplomatic and consular missions accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain. It provides them with all services in accordance with the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963, to help them carry out their tasks efficiently.
