6 fugitives arrested

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): As part of efforts to protect national security, the concerned security authorities have foiled an attempted trafficking operation of six fugitives wanted on terrorism charges. A boat was made ready to carry six fugitives and to sail from Samaheej coast. Investigation revealed that one of the arrestees was in contact with a fugitive in Iran who arranged the operation. Investigations also led to identifying and arresting some individuals suspected of sheltering and assisting the fugitives. The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has taken legal proceedings to refer the arrestees to the Public Prosecution. The investigation will continue to know the circumstances of the operation and those involved in the case.
