Bahrain urges Asian interparliamentary cooperation

Manama, Nov.2(BNA): A Bahraini legislative delegation concluded their participation in the meeting of the Asian Parliament Assembly (APA) Permament Committee for Political Affairs in Pakistan. The delegation also attended the meeting of special committee for the establishment of the Asian Parliament, which was held in the city of Gwadar on October 29-31. Official delegations representing Asian parliaments and organisations from 23 countries attended the meetings in Gwadar, Pakistan. The delegation underlined the crucial role of played by Asian parliaments in promoting Asian interparliamentary work and transforming political, security and economic challenges in opportunities that bolstering stability and spur growth in the Asian continent. It highlighted the crucial contribuition of Asian parliaments, being the branch of government that passes laws and legilstaions, debates bills of laws that serve the interests of Asian countries. The delegation reiterates Bahrain’s support to all plans and resultions that aim to consolidate prosperity and stability for all Asian peoples and countries, stressing the importance of strengthening Asian interparliamentary cooperation and exchanging expertise and practices.
