100 years of Bahrain's educational progress highlighted

Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): The Student Seminar 8th edition themed "Education: horizons, turning points" was organised by the Directorate of Student Services, under the patronage of Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi.
More than 120 secondary students deliberated about 100 years of education in Bahrain, formal, industrial, technical and vocational education, digital empowering and e-learning topics.
Undersecretary for Education and Curricula Affairs Dr. Fawzi Al Jowder participated in an open discussion with the students regarding various matters pertaining to the teaching/learning process. He listened to student suggestions and interventions praising their spectacular expression of opinion and respecting the views of others.
Al Jowder pointed out that the ministry organises these open educational meetings as part of its considerable attention to promoting the values of dialogue among the students for its pivotal role in addressing issues and problem-solving that elevate the society at all levels. He cited the ministry’s application of the Citizenship, Human Rights Promoting School programme academic year 2015-2016 to transform the school establishment including all of its elements and elements to the space of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence linking these values with the educational curricula and educational activities in the artistic, cultural and athletics fields.
The undersecretary honoured all the participants in the seminar activities.
