Lao-Thai co-operation on sports expanded
(KPL) National Assemblies of Laos and Thailand agreed recently to further co-operation, especially in the field of sports. The statement was released during the Thai National Assembly delegation led by its President Prasobsook Boondech met Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, President of National Assembly.
The delegation of Thai National Assembly including its commission on sports arrived here on 14 March for three day working visit to Laos as a guest of National Assembly. The visit aimed to find the ways for the co-operation on sports and to see the preparation for 25th SEA Games of Laos.
During the reception, Mr. Thongsing Thammavong praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the Thai delegation as a big contribution to further enhancing the friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Thailand, particularly between two legislature bodies.
On this occasion, Mr. President Prasobsook expressed thanks to NA President Thongsing for his warm welcome and confirmed that he would do his utmost to boost cooperation between Lao-Thai National Assemblies, especially a cooperation in the field of sports.
