Unity dire need to face conspiracies

Manama, Nov. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today religious clerics, intellectuals, cultural and commercial figures, media persons, journalists and citizens. He paid tribute to the Bahraini people, describing them as the real asset of the nation and praising their contributions and patriotic stances. He reiterated unflinching keenness to boost citizens’ welfare, stressing that the Bahraini people are the nation’s inexhaustible resource and the way to achieve development goals.   HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that the nation is undergoing a hard time, describing unity as a dire need to face plots and conspiracies aimed at driving wedges. He also warned of using modern technology as a platform to serve those conspiracies by promoting a discourse of hatred. He lauded high awareness of the Bahraini society and success to foil plots.   HRH the Premier underlined keenness to protect Bahrain from dangers threatening national cohesion like misusing social communication networks. He also pointed out the government’s success to curb fake degrees through procedures and accountability, stressing their negative impact on the future of the posterity and soundness of the educational structure.   HRH the Prime Minister asserted the community’s need, now more than ever before, for a discourse promoting tolerance and coexistence. He warned of the repercussions of any extremist discourse on the community, calling for vigilance and unity. He also urged to make the best use of technology and social media websites to foster social cohesion and awareness.   HRH the Premier said Bahrain is at the threshold of a new democratic chapter, calling to back preparations for the forthcoming elections in order to show the world Bahrain’s advanced democracy. “Everyone has to enrich the democratic march and benefit from past lessons in order to achieve set up common goals,” he said.
