Austrian woman charged with smuggling stimulants from Thailand+

OSAKA, March 18 Kyodo - An Austrian woman has been charged with smuggling stimulants from Thailand to
Japan under the instruction of her Iranian boyfriend whom she lives with in the
Netherlands, investigators said Wednesday.

Dijana Osmicevic, 22, has been arrested by police and customs authorities on
suspicion of carrying about 1 kilogram of amphetamines, with a street value of
some 60 million yen, when she arrived at Kansai International Airport near
Osaka from Thailand on Feb. 25.
The suspect, indicted Tuesday, said she was asked by her boyfriend to smuggle
the drugs, according to customs officials.
