Massive turnout in Southern Governorate's fourth constituency

Manama, Nov. 24 (BNA): The constituency polling station in the Southern Governorate's fourth constituency witnessed in the morning period today a massive turnout of voters who had reported to the polling station before it opened at 8:00 a.m. Head of the committee judge Salah Ahmed Al-Qattan said the electoral process is going on smoothly with hundreds of voters turning out before the opening of the polling station. He added all needed procedures were taken to ensure the electoral process take place in the most convenient way.
Al-Qattan pointed out that assistance was also provided by the committee Head, according to his legal prerogatives, for illiterate voters who can't read or write. He added that the number of voters who received help from the committee by showing them the polling card, according to their choice, reached 15.
Umm Jassim, one of the woman voters, expressed happiness about the elections, lauding the voters' massive turnout, good organisation and cooperation of the organisers. She pointed out that she is from the elderly category and that she came with her family to cast her ballot. She added that she had received assistance from the electoral committee Head because of sight problems. She also praised smoothness of the electoral process which is characterised by speed and accuracy.
Within the same context, woman voter Mariam Sadoun said her attendance today was a response to the call of duty towards the nation and to choose the appropriate person who will represent her at the parliamentary and municipal councils. She lauded smoothness and good organisation of the electoral process at the polling station.
Meanwhile, the voter Hussain Abdullah said the massive turnout at the polling station shows high awareness of the Bahraini community of the importance of the elections, especially after 16 years of the democratic process initiated by His Majesty the King. He pointed out that voters can now choose the most competent and appropriate candidate who can represent them in the representative and municipal councils without any influence.
