Al-Hammadi: Voters’ turnout exceeded expectations in Muharraq

Manama, Nov. 24 (BNA): Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Muharraq Governorate, Chancellor Dr. Ahmed Al-Hammadi, said that the voters’ turnout has exceeded expectations as soon as polling stations opened, noting that he inspected the voting stations and noticed a massive presence of the citizens.
In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Al-Hammadi lauded the "civilised" relations between the candidates, organisers and supervisory sides, hailing the commitment of all sides to the instructions of the electoral process.
He stressed that the prevailing patriotic sense proves their love to the kingdom and to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, affirming that all the citizens are keen to ensure the success of the pioneering Reform Project spearheaded by HM King Hamad through reporting to polling stations to cast their votes which, he said, was clear in their presence at polling stations even before their opening time.
He underlined the importance of participating in the electoral process, praising the keenness of the citizens, from all social segments, to carry out their duty and take part in the decision-making process.
