SAUDI BINLADIN GROUP KEEN TO WORK WITH MALAYSIAN COMPANIES
DUBAI, March 19 (Bernama) -- Saudi Arabia's construction conglomerate, the Saudi BinLadin group, is keen to work with Malaysian companies especially in the construction of bridges.
Its deputy general manager (projects manager), Mohammed Sawan said there
were ongoing discussions with several Malaysian parties on the prospect of
forging strategic partnerships.
"We are not new to Malaysia. We participated in the construction of the
Kuala Lumpur international airport," he told Malaysian journalists during a
visit to the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE) 2009 which ends Thursday, here.
According to Sawan, the group specialised in the construction of causeway
bridges and domestic airports in Saudi Arabia.
He said the global financial meltdown was not affecting projects in Saudi
Arabia and the group was securing contracts from time to time.
