BACA President receives Furtherance of Peace delegation

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received President of the Association for the Furtherance of Peace, Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete, and the accompanying delegation, including Vice-President Archduke Sandor Von Habsburg, Dr. Michael Macek of Museum of Applied Arts of Vienna.  The BACA President highlighted the BACA’s strategy to build bridges of communication between Bahrain and the world. She gave an overview of the cultural movement in Bahrain, noting Bahrain’s celebration of Muharraq as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 to be launched tomorrow under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.    The two sides stressed the significance of investing in culture for its role in uplifting communities, boosting sustainable development and achieving global peace.  HRH the Archduchess expressed readiness to establish cooperation and cultural exchange, praising Bahrain's cultural movement and achievements that reflect its rich history.
