HRH Premier of Bahrain receives peace advocates delegation

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the world is currently facing increasing challenges that pose a threat to security and stability, calling on the International Community to draw lessons from the experiences of the past.
HRH Premier said that wars and conflicts have left nothing but destruction and devastation, and they are the first obstacle to peoples’ unity, and life in love and peace.
"Peace is sought by everyone, and the ultimate goal of all those who raise the motto of coexistence, diversity and acceptance of the other," he said, affirming that Bahrain always extends its hand to those whose goals are to achieve the Good, security and stability for humanity.
HRH Premier emphasised that Bahrain is an internationally-recognised land of co-existence, tranquility, as well as intellectual and cultural diversity.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, heads and representatives of a number of institutions, associations and civil society organisations, from European, Asian and African countries, that are interested in promoting peace, co-existence and dialogue among cultures and peoples.
HRH Premier welcomed the visit of the advocates of peace to the kingdom, noting that it is a good opportunity for them to be informed closely about the love, coexistence and peace that prevail across the Bahraini society.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of such visits and meetings in enhancing rapprochement, dialogue and exchange of visions vis-à-vis everything that would support global peace.
"We share the vision on the need to work together for the sake of spreading peace as a central value for realising the aspirations of nations and peoples for a more peaceful life," the Premier said while addressing members of the delegation.
"Every human being has the right to live in peace and in a climate of stability that stimulates development and nation-building. Development and modernisation are key to peoples’ prosperity," he added.
The Prime Minister stressed that the developments in some countries in the region and the world require more awareness and caution, as well as collective action to put forward a comprehensive development mechanism that would contribute to eradicating the tensions and conflicts, noting that there should be a common political will to achieve global peace.
"This requires serious work to ensure respect for the norms governing relations among countries. It also requires combating terrorism, which is one of the main factors that contributed to subverting world security, stability and peace," he said.
HRH Premier indicated that civil society organisations assume a great responsibility in building bridges of understanding, drawing attention to the issues of peace and development as bases for stability and progress, and creating ways to support rapprochement among peoples.
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of concerted efforts to build a peaceful world through collective cooperation and joint international action to address the causes of tensions and build a better future in which humanity would enjoy security and tranquility.
HRH Premier also tackled the latest regional and global developments, and highlighted his visions on what the International Community should do to ensure that security and stability prevail worldwide.
Members of the delegation expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his keen interest in promoting the concepts of peace through his sound vision aimed at spreading such concepts across the Bahrain society to contribute to further consolidating the features of pluralism, co-existence and harmony which distinguish Bahrain.
They said that HRH Premier’s visions on ways to promote global peace represent valuable noble values, noting that his visions and in-depth analysis of the crises in the region and the world affirm his experience and wise visions.
They lauded Bahrain’s development and pluralism model, which, they said, has made it a favourable destination for peace advocates.
