Bahrain's Transportation Minister to patronise MEET ICT Conference, BITEX 2019

Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): The ninth edition of information and communication technology (ICT) conference, MEET ICT, and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX) will be held under the patronage of Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain from 19th to 21st of March 2019. The event is being organised jointly by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and WorkSmart for Events Management with objectives to promote ICT sector and to provide a common platform for all IT enthusiasts and decision-makers of both private and government sectors.  The three-day conference and exhibition is expected to gather experts, end users, frontline workers and innovators to promote initiative technologies, best practices, implementation strategies, research in the field of information and communications technology industry. It will be exploring the developments and needs of the technology market in Bahrain and the region, and how best to meet them. The conference, MEET ICT 2019, will see experts and professionals from Bahrain and around the world in workshops and sessions focusing on domains related to ICT including the Internet of things, Big Data and Cloud Computing.  Crucial topics will take the spotlight at the conference such as systems solutions, and remote training, education, banking, insurance, health care, and other sectors. The conference is expected to come up with practical recommendations capable of strengthening Bahrain's position as a technologically advanced environment for re-exporting. Running alongside the conference is BITEX 2019 Exhibition where many local, regional and international IT companies are taking over to exhibit, offer services and products, sign agreements and contracts and enter into fruitful partnerships.  WorkSmart, co-organiser of the gala event, is keen to enhance the benefits of exhibitors by providing a permanent platform in a prominent place of the exhibition featuring their products and services to the visitors.
