Bahrain's advanced cultural achievements praised

Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO)’s General Director Dr. Abdulaziz Al Tuwaijri commended the cultural accomplishments of Bahrain including the new construction or revamp of heritage facilities. Speaking to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of his attending the launch of Bahrain Pearling Path Visitor Centre, Al Tuwaijri said the opening of this centre has contributed a lot to the Kingdom of Bahrain noting the Kingdom’s ongoing comprehensive progress led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said the ISESCO programme was implemented as part of "Muharraq: The Capital of Islamic Culture" events, praising Bahrain’s advanced cultural achievements in various fields. He also said the ISESCO programme is a standing cultural project that bespeaks of the enlightened civilizational vision of collective Islamic cultural activities. He added that the programme aims to revitalize, enhance and develop the cultural activities in addition to encouragement of literary, cultural and artistic achievements. Dr. Al Tuwaijri confirmed that the "Islamic Cultural Capitals" programme enables the regular performance of cultural activities.
