Bahrain's Foreign Minister congratulates Interior Minister on ‘Personality of the Year’ Award 2018

Manama, (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, has extended his congratulations to the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on receiving the Personality of the Year Award 2018, and being honoured by the US-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E. International). The minister affirmed that this achievement elevates the status of the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially with its ongoing development march, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, and his embedded values and principles. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also pointed out that this achievement reflects the great efforts exerted by the Minister of Interior to combat crimes, violence and addiction. The Minister also highlighted the ‘Ma’an’ programme, which is an initiative launched to prevent violence and addiction, implemented by the Ministry of Interior across Bahraini schools. The programme aims to prevent the youth from drug addiction and violence.
