HM the King of Bahrain invited to attend the GCC Summit

Manama, (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has received an invitation from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to attend the 39th GCC Summit, which will be held on the 9th of December in Saudi Arabia. HM the King received at Al-Safriya Palace, GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, who delivered a letter from the Saudi King, enclosing an invitation to attend the summit. HM the King extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the kind invitation, wishing the success for the upcoming summit to consolidate the GCC march and achieve Gulf peoples’ aspirations which stem from the unified goal and common destiny. HM the King paid tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his wisdom and dedicated efforts to develop joint GCC work, as well as his pioneering and leading role to bolster the pillars of security, stability and peace in the region and protect the interests of its countries and peoples. He commended the efforts exerted by the GCC Secretary-General and the General Secretariat to serve the GCC march towards achieving desired goals and supporting GCC complementary ties in all fields. Dr. Alzayani expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the warm welcome, hailing his farsighted directives towards strengthening the GCC march, achieve complementary work in all fields. He also commended the sincere and strenuous efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. He said that he had delivered to HM the King an invitation from the Saudi monarch to attend the 39th GCC summit in Saudi Arabia. He briefed HM the King on the topics and reports featuring on the summit agenda, stressing the efforts being exerted by the General Secretariat to consolidate joint cooperation and highlight the GCC standing on the regional and international arenas.
