CIMB Gets Approval To Establish Operations In The Philippines

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 (Bernama) – CIMB Bank Bhd has received relevant approvals from the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP) to establish and operate its banking business in the Philippines. It includes the receipt of the Certificate of Authority to operate from the BSP dated Oct 25 2018. “With these approvals, CIMB Bank Philippines Inc. (CIMBPH), which is the registered foreign bank branch of CIMB Bank Bhd, launched its digital retail banking business on Dec 3, 2018,” CIMB Group Holdings Bhd said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia Monday.
