SCIA welcomes HRH Premier's assignation

Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA) congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Royal Family and the Bahraini people, on the Kingdom’s National Days celebrated on December 16-17 to mark the Anniversary of the Establishment of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim State by the late founder Shaikh Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its accession to the United Nations (UN)'s full membership, and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne, wishing Bahrain more progress and prosperity in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The council expressed utmost delight vis-a-vis His Majesty the King's assignation of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa as Prime Minister and tasking him with the new Cabinet's formation. This came today during the council’s regular meeting chaired by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs. The SCIA also congratulated on the successful parliamentary and municipal elections and the formation of the Capital Trustees Board. The council congratulated the newly-elected Members of Parliament (MPs) and municipal councillors, wishing them success to accelerate the momentum of growth and progress, safeguarding our beloved Kingdom's national unity and accomplishments. The council also welcomed the Royal Decree 55/2018 regarding the establishment and organisation of Abdullah Bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies
