Honda Rakes In Second Highest Sales In Southern Region

JOHOR BAHRU (Johor, Malaysia) Dec 7 (Bernama) – The southern region recorded the second highest sales for Honda Malaysia, after the Klang Valley, with over 17,000 units sold, contributing significantly to total sales from January to October 2018. Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Toichi Ishiyama said the sales also translated into a two per cent increase compared with the same period (January to October) last year (2017). “To date, the Honda City model is the best-selling model in this state,” he said at the opening of Yong Ming Motor (Pasir Gudang) Honda 3S Centre near here, Friday. Reflecting the increased sales, demand for after-sales intake also rose by 51 per cent in the past five years. “In the Southern region, the total service intake was recorded at over 235,000 from January to November 2018, an increase of 13 per cent against the same period in 2017,” he said. Ishiyama said Johor with a population of almost 3.8 million emerged among the top five states in the highest median income category. “This will make Johore a very important market for Honda and we want to expand our footprint here and make it easier for customers to reach us at our 3S Centre. “We believe this dealership expansion in Johor will provide more convenience to our customers, particularly in Pasir Gudang, Johor,” he added.
