Premier of Bahrain improving citizens' living standards top priority

Manama, (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the government will build on its rich record of landmark achievements and gains during the next phase of national action in which the pace of development will be accelerated. The government’s development efforts target all sectors so that the Bahraini citizens enjoy services that ensure them decent living, he said. The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace, Royal Family members and officials, with whom he reviewed local and international issues. HRH Premier affirmed that caring for the citizens in the health, educational, housing, social and service fields, and ensuring them the requirements of decent living top the government’s priorities and are the ultimate goal of all its development programmes and plans in the present and the future. The government is determined to meet the citizens’ aspirations for a decent and prosperous life through a comprehensive development programme commensurate with the size of the current challenges. HRH the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s successful programmes targeting the health sector, citing the existing comprehensive health care enjoyed by the citizens, and stressing his personal close follow-up on the extent of the citizens’ satisfaction with the integrated health services delivered to them. HRH Premier highlighted the economic importance of industrial development in the kingdom, reiterating the government’s interest in and support for industrial projects. The Prime Minister called for expanding investments in the national industries in light of the government’s support and facilities for investors.
