Strong Bahraini-Egyptian ties stressed

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received Secretary of the Presidency Ahmed Al-Ansari who conveyed congratulations of Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the government and the Bahraini people on Bahrain’s national days on December 16-17 marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 47th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 19th Anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne. The Bahraini ambassador conveyed the greetings of HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier and the Bahraini people to the Egyptian President and people. He also conveyed their best wishes of more progress and prosperity to Egypt, stressing strong historic relations between both countries and peoples. The Bahraini ambassador reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to Egypt in its counter-terrorism efforts and economic reforms. He stressed the importance of security and stability in Egypt for the whole region, commending Egypt’s honourable stances towards Bahrain and the security of the Arabian Gulf. He also affirmed that Bahrain and Egypt represent an Arabian depth and a bulwark to confront regional challenges.
