Capital Governorate, Municipality mark national days

Manama, Dec. 16 (BNA): Marking the kingdom’s national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne, the Manama citizens celebrated the national days within a festival that embodied their loyalty to the nation and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Organised by the Capital Governorate and the Capital Municipality and sponsored by 34 public and private institutions, the festivity was attended by Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, officials, dignitaries, citizens, residents and the kingdom’s visitors.
The fun-filled celebration featured fireworks display, draw on two cars of by offered by the Al-Zayani investments and the Montreal Motor Company,, a concert, marine songs, a Bahraini Al-Arda show, a musical performance by the Police Music Band and children’s games, as well as competitions, prizes and an entrepreneur market by Tamkeen.
