PREACH UNITY FOR STABILITY - MALAYSIAN CROWN PRINCE
KANGAR (Malaysia), March 21 (Bernama) -- The Crown Prince of northern state Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail wants dakwah activities be used to strenghen unity among the people as it will help maintain stability and peace that have come under threat.
"Problems should be handled with maturity and responsibility, not influenced
by emotion and fantasy that will only bring harm," he said when launching the
Perlis dakwah month and zakat campaign here Saturday.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin who is also Perlis Islamic Council (MAIPs) president
urged the people to be far sighted by not to rushing into decisions on sensitive
issues and respect the rights of others.
He wanted the people to seize the opportunities brought by development
projects like the Pauh Hi-tech Park, Padang Besar halal hub and the Sungai Batu
Pahat technology park.
The Crown Prince said Muslims should not to be complacent with the current
situation and to always act in accordance with Islamic teachings.
He urged them to assist the government in crime prevention and efforts to
fight corruption and drug addiction and help keep the environment clean.
The religious occasion culminated in the poem "Al Amin" by Perlis poet
Haniza Hamzah.
