Readout of the Deputy King’s meeting with the President of the National Audit Office

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today received the President of the National Audit Office (NAO), His Excellency Hassan bin Khalifa Al Jalahma, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, the Deputy King praised the NAO’s important role in protecting public funds, highlighting that issues of non-compliance will be addressed through effective and efficient measures. In this regard, the Deputy King stressed the importance of continuing to promote Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030’s principles of sustainability, fairness and transparency across all work streams. The Deputy King concluded by emphasising the importance of strengthening NAO’s collaboration with all public entities to improve operational efficiency, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development program. For his part, HE the President of the NAO Extended his thanks to the Deputy King for supporting the NAO’s work, highlighting in particular the Deputy King’s directives to follow up on the progress of addressing issues highlighted in the 2017-2018 report. The Deputy Prime Minister, HE Mr. Jawad Al Arrayedh, the Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
