Speaker hails Albanian’s expulsion of Iranian diplomats

Manama, Dec.22 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal hailed the decision which was taken by the Albanian authorities to expel two Iranian diplomats for their involvement in illegal activities. “These illegal activities reflect the persistence of the Iranian regime in damaging countries and peoples’ interests and backing terror groups in many parts of the world”, she said. In a statement today, she stressed the necessity of confronting Iran in all arenas and at all levels, slamming Tehran regime’s support to extremism and terrorism. She called on the international community to oblige the Iranian regime to respect the sovereignty and independence of other countries, refrain from interfering in their internal affairs and comply with the principles governing international relations and good neighborliness and commit to regional and international security, stability and peace. “The Albanian decision reflects the exasperation of the international community with the Iranian blatant violations of the international law”, the Speaker said. She said hat Bahrain has long warned against the Iranian policies, urging Arab and Islamic united parliamentary stance against Tehran’s blatant interference, subversion of security and stability and support to terrorist groups.
