CSB participates in Arab officials meeting in Cairo

Manama, Dec. 23 (BNA): The Civil Service Bureau (CSB)’s Director of HR Development Directorate, Mohammed Saleh Al-Daoud, has participated in the Arab Organisation for Administrative Development 14th meeting for officials in charge of training and administrative development in the Arab countries. The meeting focused on "the reality of training in Arab institutions, in theory and practice", held in the Egyptian capital Cairo earlier this month. The meeting touched on many topics of interest to training and development, including the view of training and development as a continuous learning process, in addition to addressing the global trend towards electronic and smart training via handheld mobile devices. The meeting focused on the importance of the training strategy emanating from the vision and orientations of the policy of the Arab countries. He pointed out that the importance of supporting the training networks and the transfer of experience among the participants, as well as the mechanisms of transferring knowledge to skills and functional behaviours were also discussed. Director General of the Organisation, Nasser Al-Hatlan Al-Qahtani, during the meeting stressed the importance of the meeting in discussing the training issues. He pointed out that the wide participation of the Arab countries contributes to its success and achievement of its goals through the exchange of expertise and the transfer of successful experiences in the field of training, as well as their ability to reflect reality. The meeting discussed a collection of papers on training plans and upgrading human and challenges to the training sector in government institutions. The meeting reviewed the work methodologies adopted in the management of training programmes and processes and the experiences of a number of countries in various fields, including the reality of training, and discussions and interventions from participating countries on the practical reality in some Arab institutions and their efforts in administrative improvement.
