Bahrain Airport Company hosts farewell ceremony

Manama, Dec. 23 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), held a farewell ceremony honouring BAC Jet Fuel Company (BJFCO) board member, Qaisar Zaman, who played a key role in BJFCO’s establishment. In attendance were BJFCO Chairman, Abdul Majeed Al Qassab, BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, and other BJFCO board members.
The celebration took place following the last Board of Directors meeting of the year, during which the board discussed the company’s financial results and the construction progress of BIA’s new fuel farm complex, which is now 60 per cent complete and expected to launch by the third quarter of 2019 .
Mr Al Binfalah said: "When BAC and the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) partnered to form BJFCO in 2016, it marked a turning point for the Kingdom’s aviation fuel sector. Thanks to the support of the joint venture shareholders, board of directors and project team, we have already achieved a great deal. On behalf of BAC, I would like to thank Mr Zaman for his hard work and dedication during the establishment of the company as well as his proactive contributions to its development over the last two years. We wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours."
BJFCO was established with the goal of restructuring the aviation fuel sector in the Kingdom and will be responsible for the management and operation of the upcoming fuel farm complex, as per directives from Bahrain’s leadership. The fuel farm, which is an important component of the Airport Modernisation Programme, will streamline the aviation fuel supply and operation processes at BIA and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a centre of aviation fuel services in the GCC region.
