HM King meets UAE Vice President, Abu Dhabi CP

Manama, Dec. 23 (BNA): HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today met the United Arab Emirates’ Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE. HM the King and their highnesses, in the presence of HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubi, reviewed the fraternal bilateral relations and means of boosting them in various fields in the interest of the two countries and their people. HM the King was accompanied by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on a visit to the Love Lake, which was established in the heart of the desert under the directives of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to reflect the genuine values of love and tolerance enjoyed by the UAE leadership and people. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied with escorts, gave HM the King a tour of the 550,000 square meters Love Lake that comprises 16,000 olive trees, Sedar trees, (Samar and Gav trees) and approximately 800,000 different shrubs, in addition to three walkways of approximately seven kilometers. HM the King listened to a detailed brief given by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the lake, which consists of two fresh water lakes, where visitors and tourists can stroll the lake surrounding and relax in the four lounges fitted with furniture to suit the desert environment, it can accommodate 500 cars. He added that various animals and birds, including desert foxes, deer, falcons, bustards, ducks and various reptiles could be seen around the lake land. HM the King expressed admiration of remarkable artistic work that attracts visitors and tourists from the UAE and other countries to enjoy the clean and peaceful environment. HM the King praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to bring happiness and prosperity to their people. He wished the Emirates’ people further progress and well-being under the leadership of the UAE. The meeting and the tour were attended by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee; HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; Lt-Gen HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Chief; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
