EGA support for National Bureau of Gulf Taxation highlighted

Manama, Dec. 30 (BNA): CEO of the Information and e-Government Authority (EGA), Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, stressed commitment to constantly upgrade the government electronic services by providing electronic programmes and systems to meet beneficiaries’ needs of various sectors. Al Qaed said, in line with achieving cooperation and coordination with all government institutions, the EGA has always provided technical support and set up the technical infrastructure for the National Bureau of Gulf Taxation (NBGT) to facilitate the collection of Value Add Tax. He welcomed the e-taxation system organized by a specialized global company in the Gulf, which is committed to the highest standards of professionalism and transparency to enhance confidence in the system and to ensure registration with the National Bureau for Taxation to fulfil obligations in accordance with the governing regulations. He praised the coordination between all relevant government sectors and strategic partners of the private sector to implement the tax system.
