HM King of Bahrain receives Shura Chairman, Representatives Speaker

Manama, Dec. 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the Sakhir Palace received Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and a number of members of the two Councils to pay respect to HM the King. HM the King congratulated the Speaker on winning the title of the Best Political Achievement for Arab Women in 2018 conferred on her by the Arab Women Media Network, which is another achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bahraini women, wishing her durable success in taking on the national responsibility in the interest of the homeland. HM the King also congratulated the Shura Chairman and parliamentarians on their elections, wishing them success in promoting the legislative and parliamentary work. HM the King said laws and legislation issued by the National Council have been very supportive to the development march. He lauded the huge voter turnout that reflected citizens’ awareness and keenness to take part in the elections, welcoming the Bahraini women’s participation that highlighted their determination to serve their country. HM the king pointed out citizens’ support for the democratic process affirms their enthusiasm for the homeland’s progress in various fields, stressing to continue working together to serve the national interest and citizens. HM the King commended the achievements made at the legislative level to serve the community issues, praising the cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, which reflects their commitment to prioritize citizens and national interest. HM the King stressed that citizens would be as always the focus of the government, underlining the its effort to always provide citizens with decent life under the comprehensive development process that would continue thanks to citizens’ determination to serve the homeland and preserving the national gains and achievements. HM the King expressed optimism that the first session of the fifth legislative term would witness more achievements to serve the national action march, wishing the legislative branches success in shouldering their national responsibilities to attain the set goals.
